i am new to XI

1)in sender side file was not picked, is it posible to do the monitoring

2)in sender side file was picked, but in receiver side file was not picked is it posible to do the monitoring

hi vishnu,

1) if file is not picked up u can monitor ur communication channel in RWB> component monitoring> adapter monitoring

2) if file is picked but not received , this means (a) there is a problem in msg while going thru integration engine, to be monitored in Tx SXMB_MONI .. OR (b) at rec comm channel... to be monitored in RWB (the same way as sender is monitored)

Hi Vishnu,

As your file is not picked you willl not be able to monitor it in SAP XI.

To have this file picked up check that your file name mathces withe name mentioned in the sender file channel/adapter,also the FTP server credentials for for your user id are correct.

Also that the folder from where you are picking up the file has maximum permissions to pick up the file.

If all this are correct there is a possibility that your FTP server is down ,try to restart the FTP server.

2)in sender side file was picked, but in receiver side file was not picked is it posible to do the monitoring: -

In this case you can mo0nitor the file processing.

If the fie doesnt reach the receiver then try to do the same for the above step.

Try the t-code SM49 and try to ping the server.If its not rechable then try to solve it with the help of concerned person.

Vishnu,

The both the cases you can perform monitoring.

In the first case you may monitor using the Runtime Work Bench [RWB], where use the component monitoring as well as the message monitoring. You can check the details if the functions found error.

In the second case, you can use the SXMB_MONI [Integration Engone Monitoring], where you will find the 'monitor for the processed XML messages', where you will get all the details. You can find details and status, on selecting each of the XML messages given.

yes monitoring will come into picture during this sitution as u are into now .....see sender side file is not picked in the sense there must be some problem in adapter side goto RWB check the status of the sender adapter ......it should be green for file picking ........

see now ur sender file was picked that means ur sender adapter has been confiugred in right manner .......but u are saying in recever side file was not picked (correct me if i am worng )..but recever is ur destination right .......again goto

here is the continution of ur second question...............recever file not picking

just do the RWB monitoring and check the status ........if its correct then check weather u have given correct target file name and also FCC parameters are correct or not ...............................

Hi,

If the sender side file not picked check your communication channel in commu. channel monitoring.

If the receiver side file not placed check your message in SXMB_MONI for any errors in processing and check receiver commu. channel in commu. chasnnel monitoring.

Yes, Go to Runtime Workbench -> Communication channel monitoring.

New Screen opens there u mention ur Sender Communication channel there and start filtering u can find the error.(if any)

U mean u did't get thae target file at the receiver side.

Then go there To Communication channel monitoring Chekc for ur receiver CC
