Unable to Login using GUI

We are unable to log into development system using GUI (login screen does not get displayed). The last thing we were performing in the system was to install BI Content Version 3.0 (from media DVD 51031606) using SAINT. Prior to BI content install we imported support packages SAPKB70012, SAPKB70013, SAPKW70013 thru SAPKW70014. We also implemented OSS note 112065 per note 822379. We recycled (stop and start) the system but that did not resolve the issue.

Our NW installation is on a central system (all instances are on the same Windows Server 2003 host).

SAPMMC which suggests that that the 'Disp+Work' process cannot connect to message server.

What are our options to restore our system?

Regards

    Hi DN,

First check all the log files like dev_disp,dev_w0 and others, then

first check wheather the database is up and running else try to

start the database using R3trans. Then check the log and trace files.

    Regards,

    Vamshi.

      Hi,

Thank you all for taking the time to provide your input to resolve the issue.

On further investigation, we found that database log is full. We

performed a back-up of the log and activated 'auto_log'. We are now

able to log into the system and issue is now resolved.

      Regards

      DN

    Hi DN,

First check the services in services.msc.Check sap services and if it oracle DB means check the listener service and SQl means SQL service.

Then check R3trans -d and then check whether you have the enough space in hard disk.then check the log files for the same.

    Regards

    Vijay
