Edit Mail "Approval for Opportunities"

Hi experts,

I'm looking for a way to adapt the standard SAP Notification Mail for "Approval for Opportunities". Currently the subject line is "Approve Opportunity<Opportunity Name> (<Opportunity ID>) - <Prospect> - <Expected Revenue>" (see screenshot). But we would like to add the sales org into this mail.

It seems that the body of the notifications mails, which points to any change, cannot be changed at all. And I also tried to change the subject line of the specific mail for approval opportunities. But it's not changeable, just checkboxes to tick or not...

Is there a possibility to change to subject line with e.g. a workaround? Or can someone confirm that there is no way to change the subject line of such kind of notification mails?

Hello Deborah,
I believe there is no way to modify the subject or body of an approval notification e-mail.

However, there is a workaround for this: You could create a workflow rule so that you get a customized e-mail, using a template, when the sales quote is in approval.
After that, you should then disable the notifications for business users because you will get duplicated e-mails: One from the standard approval, and another one from the workflow rule.
To do that, go to Scoping --> Questions --> Communication and Information exchange --> Business process management --> Business Task Management, and then uncheck notification to business users.

thank you for your response! I'm currently working at a workflow rule that should replace the standard approval mail notification - as you recommended. I cannot find in the workflow fields a placeholder for a link that directly navigates to the business document/the opportunity that should be approved... Is this not possible within the workflow tool - to generate links to opportunities?

And #TID# is Technical ID.

Unfortunately, the website changes my link. I added the picture with URL.

Do you also know whats the URL structure that navigates to the notification to open the approval screen? (see screenshot)

For example a hyperlink from the standard SAP approval mail navigation to the approval notification looks like this:

I don't have an approval process in my scope, and I think the approval page is not a typical document/item. Therefore I cannot figure it out. Maybe somebody from SAP can help with this URL.
