hi

i am abap learner, i am doing one project. in that i have to display material, plant,sbstitute material and its plant. if both material plants are same i have to display 's'(sucess), if it is different i have to display 'f'(failure). how can i display it in alv report.

    You can use the table MARC for the material and plant relationship.

    Select your material and substitue material from MARA into one internal table. Now get the plants from MARC for both material and modify your internal table. Now, Loop on that internal table and compare the plants and set the flag. Based on the flag you can control your dispaly.
