Aging AR / AP based on AR / AP account code

Dear All,

when running selection criteria either for customer receivable and vendor payable aging, is it possible to filter them based on their AP / AR G/L account code ? many of the customers have two AR G/L accounts code, e.g. in year 2006, the code is 12000-HQ. in year 2007, the code is 13000-HQ. meanwhile, there are still some unpaid invoices and any other transactions in the 12000-HQ G/L account code and need to be included in the customer receivable aging report. It is also needed to be reconcile. How to do that ? is it possible ? pls give advice. TIA

Rgd

Steve

Hello,

You could use SAP B1 2005A SP 01 PL 39. You must upgrade to the latest PL from current PL. SO, you could combine it into one aging report consists of transaction in the old AR account and new AR account, or you just use old AR account code although the AR account code is not used by the customer anymore (BP master data --> tab accounting --> account receivable field).

The same things are also applicable to vendor aging.

Hi All,

Tks for the answers. I have checked the PL after upgrade and I could see there is a control account tick box that can cover the user request i.e. to generate aging report based on old AR account and new AR account..

Steve,

I did not understand what you meant by update ... set .... where ....= '..'

But you can try using the import transactions functionality to transfer the balances to this AR account.

Technically to be correct, you actually should Credit the Invoices from the Original AR Account and create new invoices from the New AR Account.

Steve,

I do not think it is going to be possible, as SAP's Aging Report is going to look at the current AR Receivable account and Pull the transaction from there.

Unless, you choose to great a Custom Report.

Thanks

Tks for your quick answer. Do not you think I can use query update ... set .... where ....= '..' and then using restore functionality in SAP B1 can move all transactions in old AR account no to the current new AR account no ? so that all unpaid invoices and other transactions can be displayed in the aging AR report ?

Pls give advice. Tks.
