Straight line method of Depreciation-(urgent)

Dear all,

By mistakenly i did the declining balance method of depreciaton instead of straight line method of depreciation. Now i changed the configuration for straight line method. Before that i entered some assets through legacy asset transfer(as91). I checked AW01N. the acquisition value is 19000. But the depreciation is calculating on declining dep method. in the AW01N, screen the base value shows 17160.

What will be error/

How to readjust the already posted deprection?

Please guide me solve this issue.

Will give good points.

Thanks & Regards,

A.Anandarajan

    Hi,

Please check the asset class in OAYZ whetehr u have changed the dep method here. And more over u need to recalculate the dep by using T.Code AFAR for the dep clacuation.

    Regards

    Balaji

You can not change the already posted depreciation. Goahead and change the depreciation method to St.Line. Then run the AFAR- Recalculate depreciation. The adjustment for the difference will be posted in the current month.

plz run t-code AFAR which will change the planned values on AW01N and than you can run /re-run the depreciation posting run AFAB which will post the correct values.

<b>What will be error</b> => there wont be any errors .. unless you run AFAR system would post wrong planned depreciation.

<b>How to readjust the already posted deprection?</b>

=> Once you run AFAR it will recalcuate your planned values (check AW01N after running AFAR to make sure) and re-run AFAB which will post any delta values to your books.

    Plz assign points if helpful.

    Hello

You can do very little for already posted depreciation posted by WDV.

Make adjustments by using manual depreciation.

Change settings in Asset and from next period you could use SLM

    Reg

    *assign points if useful
