1) Are cost center assignments hierarchical? Where do you assign these in OM?

2) What are attributes of objects? Is vacancy a common attribute for all objects?

3)What are general authorizations?

6)What is an authorization profile? How are users authorizations determined?

7)What is a role? How the access to transactions, reports and web based applications included in a role defined?wher do you find roles?

10)What do you mean by actual times? Where are these stored for an employee?

13)What is time management status 7? What is it used for?

14)What is RPTQTA00? What does it do? What is RPTIME00?

15)Where do I assign the IG (infogroup) to the personnel action type? Are infogroups user group dependable?

    1. we assign cost center to Org units (Dept, divisions, Team , group etc) or directly to positions

    2. Attributes are nothing but the Characteristics of objects, like name of the object, description of the object, the relationship it has, address, mail address, etc

    suppose Take position as an object, then mkg mgr (name), he comes under Mkg dept (relationship), Profile required (stored as descriptions), Address where the postion holder will be availble etc

    3, 4, general authorizations that are based on the SAP-wide authorization concept or you can set up HR-specific structural authorizations that check by organizational assignment if a user is authorized to perform an activity

    5. This authorization type applies to the general SAP authorization check, which is set up using the transaction PFCG. The authorization objects that are used only in mySAP HR are HR-specific authorization objects.

    Authorizations are defined by authorization objects. An authorization object specifies the fields that occur in an authorization. The system checks if a user has the corresponding authorization for certain field specifications in the user master record.

    6. Users must be created and roles assigned to user master records before you can use the SAP System.

    A user can only log on to the system if he or she has a user master record. A user menu and authorizations are also assigned to the user master record via one or more roles.

    Roles are collections of activities which allow a user to use one or more business scenarios of an organization. The transactions, reports and Web-based applications in the roles are accessed using user menus. User menus should only contain the typical functions in the daily work of a particular user.

    9. When you record only deviations to work schedule it is negative time mgmt. for eg you have work for 5 day from mon - fri. and if you deviate from this thru absence , attendance , substitution , overtime etc, those deviations only will be stored in Negative time mgmt.

    Position TM stores all the timings of the person thorough Swipe cards, punches etc and analysis is made based on his time events.

    10. Actual times are employee (check in / Check out)times.

    11. deviations are deviations to work schedule. see the eg above

    12. Time evaluation is used to calculate quota and to create time wage type and generate overtime automatically using time data of the employees

    13. if you use negative time mgmt use TMS 7 (negative time mgmt without payroll integration)

    14. this report helps in generating Time quotas for group of employees. RPTIME00 is the report throught which <b>time evaluation</b> is done

    15. in table <b>T529A</b>. it is our wish to make the infogroup as user group dependable or the other way

    16. there you can maintain the very important characteristics of the infotypes <b>(t582a)</b>
