regarding EP in Netweaver 7.0

Hii Guyz,

I installed SAP netweaver 7.0 . Iam able to log into portal using the portalid in the URL. My question is can we do all the basis system adminstration from the portal login (from browser). If not whats the basic purpose of the EP. Cant we perform all the netweaver monitoring (using transaction codes) in the EP browser login.
