Forecasting and distribution

Someone can help mi with this problem?

I have this scenario in SNP:

The production planning is based on forecasting , otherwise the distribution to the distribution centers is based on stock level.

The problem is when I run the SNP optimization, because this process takes like necessities the forecast in the plant and the necessities of the stock level in distribution centers, duplicating the production planning in plant.

What I need is only make the optimization in plant, based on forecasting, and the replacement of the distribution centers based on the stock level.

Well not sure if I completely understood the statement that the production plan duplicates the requirement. In a network as the forecast flows into the production plant as distribution demand along with distribution demand coming from DCs, it is consolidating both the demands as it should.

from what I understand of your requirement, the optimization engine is only required for the Distribution Demand from Forecasts. The stock level at DC is a secondary requirement.

I have not intensively worked with optimizer, but my guess is you can have multiple run of optimizer. the first run can probably happen with say prohibitively high control costs of stock at DC. This will influence the optimizer to only consider the forecasts. the second run can even be a heuristics run which incrementally plans based on available supply for the stock levels at DC.
