Hi Abraham,

You use the "job group" field to restrict the authorizations to the selected job names.

Hi Abraham,

As Kiran said, it's the Job name. The job name is created when the job is created.

Are you guys sure about JOBGROUP field in S_BTCH_JOB can take jobname?

because SAP kept on saying its reserved for future use and the only value goes with it is '*' from past couple of years. did SAP notified any enhancements recently on S_BTCH_JOB?

Keerti, I think you are right, I was getting confused with S_BTCH_NAM.

Alex, even S_BTCH_NAM doesn't hold the job name. it allows you to choose the userID on whose name the job should be running. it might be urself or other users(ony user type) when scheduling a background job.

HI Alex,

Might be S_BDC_MONI which you are refering to?

There was a discussion around this and related topics about 2 years ago.

If I remember correctly, the solution at the time required discipline from the user.

I will see whether I can find it again.

Cheers,

Julius
