Warning: Application Component does not exists

When I am Checking datasource in RSA6, I get a warning saying that 'Application component of data source does not exists'. Also it shows zero records in RSA3 when I try to extract data. From where can I get the application component?

    Hi Nikhil,

    Please do following steps in R/3

    SBIW->Business Content DataSource -> Transfer Application Componenet Hierarchy.

    Provide a Request to it.

    Then you will be able to see the application hierarchy in RSA5 as well as 6.

    This will work.

    As deepika said, you need to go to RSA5 and activate your datasource first..
