How to create a variable which sums a column

Hello I am fairly new to Webi. Anyways...my question I am trying to create a variable by summing a column.

I then want to use this variable (the sum of a column) in each row. But when I try this, by adding the variable, the variable doesnt display as a sum of the whole column, but only the row It corresponds to. But I would like it to show the same value (ie the sum of the column) all the way down. thanks

To do a SUM not on each row you will need to set the level of calculation/sum as well
