Alternate UOM implementation in SAP BI 7

We are attempting to implement Alternate UOM Conversion at report runtime to convert Quantities in Base UOM to various other Alternate unit of measures. Is there a specific process for optimal implementation in BI7? We have currently used the 3.5 process using the CMOD program.

That document is not applicable for BI7.

You have to create an variable in the TCODE: RSUOM and use it in th query the same way you do it for Currency conversions.

In BI7, you can store conversion in generated DSO for UOM..and then in reports you can conversion tab for UOM conversion..

Check out help document for this.

This would be more transparent than older method..
