RETURN ORDER from SERVICE CONFIRMATION transaction

Hi Gurus,

We are creating one service order for which follow up transaction is a service confirmation.

From the service confirmation transaction can we create a Return order as a follow-up transaction?

Here the scenario is

1. First service order is created with 5 line items

2. Based on the service order, Technician visits the customer place and done the service, but he used 3 parts only. In the service confirmation transaction these 3 items will be selected (which was created as follow up to the service order).

3. He has to return the 3 defective parts which he has replaced with the new parts. For this we want to create a return order as follow up to the service confirmation transaction.

Is it possible?

Points will be rewarded.

Thanks in advance

Madhu.

    Hi Madhu,

It is possible to create the return order as a follow up of the service confirmation.

All u need to do is to maintain the copy control settings.

I think it is better to copy the header level and not the items. Since ur service confirmation will have the items which are used and not the replaced items.

The replace item can be entered directly in the return order.

    Wish the information is useful.
