offset start &length

Hi,

What are offset start and offset length in variables.

And in replacement path we have the option replce with "external chacterstic"What is this option.

    Hi,

    Consider you have a calyear value of 2006 .

    eg:

    if you are making offset start value as '2' and offset length as 7 . then in the output of the query you will get the result of <b>06</b>.

    it will start from 2nd digit of value to length of 7.
