Installation of ST-PI and ST-A/PI Add-on

Dear all,

We have just upgraded the R/3 4.6C landscape to ECC 6.0 and I need to install again the ST-A/PI add-on and to import packages for ST-PI into the satellite systems.

The SAP notes related to the installation of the ST-A/PI add-on and ST-PI packages, point that this does not harm the production works. What is your experience, can I install the packages and install the add-on during production work?

Is there need for SGEN to be run after the installations?

HI Ruzica Kalkasliev,

Very good question before touching Production. Yes, It safe to run during work but I would not suggest because if you get an error, some of the error may reqired bounce and the slowness may occur during applying sp.. Usually you are safe but as I said, I would not do between users are on.

Yes, Please run SGEN after you install them successfully.
