Make to Stock - MD01

Hi PP Gurus,

I am doing MRP run through MD01 for a plant & I have the following requirements :-

1. System should not consider any open sales orders for plan

2. System should not consider any open STO for plan

3. System should not consider any stock available for that material into plan

Presently system is minusing the stock available from plan & giving planned order for the remaining qty which I don't want.

Please guide me how this can be done.

Hi

If it is MTS & strtegy group 11.

It will not consider Available stock.

It will noty consider STO/sales order.

Pl. review your material master for FERT & Strategy group in MRP3 screen.

Proceed accordingly.

I have maintained strategy group as 40. When I changed to 11 also system is taking opening stock into consideration for planning

Hi,

Check your requirement type. it should be BSF(11) instead of VSF(40)

Hi Hitesh,

For planning strategy 11,

Create PIR with BSF requirement type, assign "Mixed MRP" = 2 in MRP view.

Hi Pradeep,

Problem solved. Now system is not taking open sales order, open STO & available stocks. But now system is generating requirement for both PIR & MTO also. i.e. I have certain sales orders where the scenraio is Make to Order & Strategy group we have maintained as 20.

Please guide me where the problem is. My requirement is when we do MD01 plan entered in PIR must be taken & when we run MD50 system must take MTO sales order & item.

Hi

In this case you may be required to use User exit M61X0001...

To achive ur reqment use 2 different MRP Controllers for PIR managed Matls and MTO managed matls.....

Example coding exists in program LXM61F01.

If u have any queries check with ur ABAPers

Hi Gobikannan,

This doesn't serve my purpose. Because some ROH & VERP materials might be used in both MTO & MTS. In that case I cannot have 2 MRP controller for one material. Is there any method wherein while material selection for planning itself, we can block materials made for MTO with strategy group 20.

I think it may be possible by using the above exit...strategy group is available in table MT61D.

Now it is working. Is it possible to have this as default value in MD01 screen or can the field user exit in MD01 made mandatory so that we will not miss out entering data. Else system will generate for MTO also.

I hope you can save ur settings after entering the values in MD01 by selecting settings-->save in the menu path..thereafter u will get the value by default

i have no idea abt making it mandatory...

But this is not saving the parameters. Next when I come back system is showing the same old parameters.

Sorry. I am not in a position to check it.Otherwise u can go for MDBT where u can set all the parameters in variant and that variant can be scheduled in background...

Hi Hitesh,

During the MRP run ,in net requirment calculation , system compares all open Issues (like PIR, sales order..) and Recipts with avilable plant stock to calculate procurement proposal. This is the way system behaves, let us know why u donot want consider open issues,.
