CCMS auto reaction methods - help!

Hi Gurus,

i have a issue with auto reaction method assignment to the MTE.

I've been trying to configure the CCMS to send me email when a USERS are locked in the system

I have created a Method (RZ21) with the following details:

Execution tab:

To be executed: Function Module - SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT

Execution method on: Any Server

Execution method for: Table of several MTEs

Control Tab:

Execute method: Periodically in a dialog process

in the parameter TAB the setting are these (and they might not be correct)

1. Sender - USERNAME (Exist in 000 and all other clients)

2. RECIPIENT - TEAM1 (Existing in BWorkplace)

3. RECIPIENT-TYPE ID - P

When i assign this in RZ20 to :

SAP CCMS Monitor Templates

-- Syslog

-- Security

and when a error occur it detected it as it has to but it fails to do the auto reaction method and im not able to tell why it just saying "Action Required" then "Action Running" and then "Action Failed"

Can you please help me out with this? Im new to SAP as you see 😊

    Hi Vladimir

    You should follow this note 176492

    Which version of R3 are you using?

    Supposing you have your system configured to be able to send mails (Sapconnect).

    Some usual errors are:

    1º On RZ21 on your created method, on the "Release" tab check that Execute method as :Autoreaction Method is marked.

    2º On RZ20 when you assign the method you don´t explain detailed what you have done. First of all you should click on Extras--> Activate Maintenance function. Then go to ..syslog --> Security (mark it and click on Properties). Then a new screen apperars , click on Methods tab, then on Methods assignment button , then on auto-reaction tab , then on "change" button and by Method allocation: where "method name" field you can display a list and select the method you have created , then save.

    Good luck and tell me if this works or not.

      Hi Jose,

      yes i have tried to changed to P and to whatever you can imagine 😊 but no success, could it be because im trying to do this on IDES?

      a bit summarizing of what have I done till now.

      I have created in client 000 a shared folder called CCMS_ALERTS, I have configured in RZ20 in menu SAP CCMS Monitor Templates --> Syslog --> Security in this way

      Everything has been done in client 000

      In General Tab i have:

      Message Class: RT

      Message Number: 079

      Severity of alerts to be triggered: 255

      Maximum numbers of alerts kept: 10

      Which alerts should be kept: ALL

      In Log Attribute Tab i have:

      Maximum alerts

      Always

      As many as possible

      In Filter Tab I have:

      System log message is selected (ticked)

      the i have filter

      from ID - US1 to ID US1 at Red (ticked) with severity 255

      In the method tab i have:

      My Own method that i have created and here it is:

      Method (rz21)

      Execution Tab:

      as Functional module - SALO_EMAIL_IN_CASE_OF_ALERT

      on any server

      Table fo several MTEs

      Control Tab:

      Periodically in dialog process (short running program)

      Parameter Tab:

      SENDER: my user (existing in any of the clients with administrator rights)

      RECIPIENT: CCMS_ALERTS

      RECIPIENT-TYPEID

      Release Tab:

      Auto-Reaction Method

      ........

      Please advice what have I done wrongly
