Experts,
As we know we can set weighting for a MIC in QS23 Tcode as Critical/ Non critical characteristic.
Is it possible to set this weighting at Material level which we would see in QE51N Tcode? There are few formulas where MIC Nitrogen can be Critical & few where its not Critical.
Please share your valuable inputs.

Dear Aspire
You can set Weighting in Inspection plan characteristic (General data tab).
In QE51N you can use Dynamic selections button (F9) and select Weighting in Charac. Specifications folder.
Best regards,
Milton Gallegos

Hi Craig,
I am sorry to mention something totally off the topic here. I sent you request to follow you & see that only if you accepted my request i can send direct chat.
I read your BIF post & saw your life as firefighter. Big salute to you for following your childhood dream & to have served people for decades in this role.
There is a new movie called 'Only the Brave' which narrates the heroic story of Granite Mountain Hotshots who became one of the most elite firefighting teams in the country. I was thinking about you when i watched this movie. Whenever you find some time, please watch this movie.
Sorry again - For sharing something offtopic here. I did not know how else i can pass on this message to you.

Thank you for the complements. 🙂
I'll will watch the movie at some point. I have to watch these on my own. Wife and family not into watching firefighting movies as they usually portray or show injury and death. Not something they like to think about too much even though I'm pretty much past that kind of danger now.
BTW: you should see the weighting in the QE51n screen when the characteristics are displayed. If you are not it's possible that some used configuration to create view that you can't change. You'd need certain privileges to do it.
Hi Craig,
I was not aware of the dynamic selection option(F9 key) suggested by Milton. Also the screenshot that you posted helped me to spot the weighting field against characteristic.
Thank you.

Milton & Craig,
Big thanks to you both for your valuable replies. I created inspection plan in QS01. I can see option to assign material and set lower & higher limits in general data tab. But i do not see weighting field.
General data tab looks as below,
I am so sorry for asking such a basic question. I am creating inspection plan for the first time and could not locate weighting field.
Can you please help me to understand what i am missing.
milton.gallegos Thanks a lot for suggesting F9 option in QE51N. I tried it and could see how i can add weighting filter in selection screen.

No. you cannot have the weighting at a material level. Weighting is determined in the inspection plan. Why can't you just assign materials to different plans?

Hi Milton,
Thanks a lot for your reply. Surprisingly i did not get notification mail from SAP about your reply. I checked in QE51N and i am unable to spot inspection plan char column in QE51N General data tab from the listed column headings,
Being a beginner to QM functional, i am struggling to pick your valuable suggestion right away. Can you please tell me the steps or kindly provide screenshots to achieve it.
