Lumira Designer 2 Problem with Desktop

Hi all,

I have been working with Lumira a couple of weeks now and for some reason out of the sudden the chart configuration had a bug.

The drop down for the chart type variations completely vanished.
It is not Doc. or Appl. dependent. All tested files worked on the PC of a colleague at a different location with different PC Image fine.

I already de- and reinstalled 3 times now, with checking Regedit, deleting directories (maybe i have found not all) etc. and even deinstalled Progs that have been added at the time it occured - nothing..........

Anybody out there with similar experiences or deeper insight?

Cheers Dirk

When you re-install make sure the following folders are deleted also.

    C:\Users\<userid>\LumiraDesigner-workspace

    C:\Users\<userid>\LumiraDesigner-config

Also SP 2 patch 1 is available now, you could apply the patch and see if that fixes the issue.

    Hi Deepu,

Yes, I have deleted every file and Lumira called Folder. Checked the Registry, but it had nothing.

I have just installed it - no changes.

Could it be that the Installation of Eclipse might have any impact?

Well then - don´t know what is more fun - setting up the PC new or opening an OSS.

    Cheers Dirk

    Hi Tammy,

    yes I did. No result.

i got a new laptop for testing purpose since they want to role out Win10. That was more or less virgin.

There LUM hat in the beginning some hickups but worked. It seemed that it got problems with queries with many KYFs.
So when I put all on "Hide but displable" it worked fine.

Then, stupid me, I installed DS 1.6 out of confusion because I wanted Dataservices. Both Folder are names similar and i did not look.

    Since then same, same.

I deleted all twice, installed both files (1st install, SP1).

    No change.

Next week I will request a new image and stat from 0.

    BR Dirk

    Hi,

Do you use a high DPI screen? If so, please try to change the resolution or scaling percentage.

Posted as a comment above, perhaps should have listed as an answer?

We had the issue upgrading Lumira Designer. Smarter people than I (like Cecelia, above) discovered that if you do a fresh install of Lumira 2.0 SP2, it doesn’t work. If you had SP1 Patch 1 and then install / update to SP2, it works. So it appears to be a feature. :)

If you don't want that feature you can actually workaround it. I noticed that the bottom row of charts only had the caret(?) symbol but it was below the chart, not next to it. So, if you hover below the line chart you'll get the line chart opens, etc. Not sure if the symbol was removed or if the spacing is just weird, but either way, one can live with it.

We are having the same issue. It works on one computer but not others. We have checked screen resolution, Eclipse version, etc. Anyone find a solution yet?? Thanks!

Well, hello out there at the transcievers....

On Monday I got a new Image on my Notebook, and with all the burocratic crap I finally, managed to install Lumira Designer.

I have to admit that when I reached that very point the machine was not virgine anymore.

We have that SW-KIOSK and there is a SAP GUI Update 2017 available. Do not ask me what is all in there, but at least that new GUI with that browser style.
I was able to install it, without having previously installed the normal 7.40 Package. The result was, that suddenly the source systems were missing in the login window of AO 2.2. with the Standard login working fine.

So I deinstalled everything not bothering to dive deep to delete remainings in the reg edit or where ever else. Reinstalled 7.40 leaving the Update aside. AO, worked fine now, and then Lumira Designer (first the exe from 51052406 the *02P_1-80002241) and after that Discovery.

    Bummer! Same, Same, not different.

Either some remaings of the GUI update still have an Impact, or some other SW components are not up to date or too up to date. Anyway it must be installation specific or could it be even Network specific? Because colleagues at an other Location do not have that issue.

Thanks for the response Erdem. I pushed it down to 1280 with effect.

There is however that info in the ErrorLog. I googled and all I found did not seem to be relevant - but maybe some one out there can interprete that propperly and has more insight..
