Minority Interest is calculated monthly. Once the ownership % is updated, the system will, for that period onwards, use the new ownership % for minority interest value determination.

    Hi Amit,

In order to correctly recalculate all dependent amounts (in case of group's share change), there is a special functionality, Consolidation of Investments, in SEM-BCS. If CoI is configured right, the system takes care about such changes.

All movements in ivestments and equity of the balance sheet of the Group's companies are recorded on special statistical items. It helps the system to make recalculations.

To get familiar to this functionality, you may, following the link:

Sorry, I assumed Consolidation of Investments had been implemented.

One alternative is to define a percentage reclassification method with the percent stored in either the quantity of the investment account balance, or in a separate statistical account. The Minority Interest would be changed by a change in the percentage value posted to this account. The reclassification should be for posting level 20 or 30.
