Dear MM Gurus
I am trying to create a Material in MM 01 by copying an existing material. But after having given the Industry sector and material type and the existing material number in the field "copy from",
then system is giving the following error message.
"PLEASE SPECIFY AN INTERNAL NUMBER RANGE -Message no. NR752
Actually, number range assignment has been done for the material type in the confinguration settings and External number range Check box has not been ticked. Therefore, it means, Internal Number Range has been assigned. Is it not?
Could any one help me as to what exactly system is wanting or where should i do the configuration settings for this message.
Thanks in advance
Regards
Rishikesh
Hi,
While copying leave the material number as blank and put the material number that you want to copy from in reference material number.
I think since you are putting the same material number number in the material number, system is getting confused since internal number range is assigned.

Hi,
I think your number range has not been assigned properly in customizing
Please go to assignment of number ranges to material types
Slect the Group and element properly when you select it should become blue in apperance then go to number assignment
Please also check there in object overview about the assigned number ranges
Please check and confirm
