Defining Material Name for services

Hi Gurus,

I am working for a implementtion project. my client is a software company.

in the compay they are offering the following services.

1) Aplication Management Services

i) Generic Services

a) ASP

--Onsite

--Offshore

b) JAVA

--Onsite

--Offshore

c) .Net

-- Onsite

-- Offshore

d) C

-- Onsite

-- Offshore

e) C++

--Onsite

--Offshore

2) Testing Services

i) Generic Services

a) ASP

--Onsite

--Offshore

b) JAVA

--Onsite

--Offshore

c) .Net

-- Onsite

-- Offshore

-- Onsite

--Onsite

--Offshore

We defined the material name at lowest level

In This We suggested material Name like the foolwing names

1) Appllication Management Services-Generic Services-ASP-Onsite

2) Appllication Management Services-Generic Services-ASP-Offshore

3) Appllication Management Services-Generic Services-Java-Onsite

4) Appllication Management Services-Generic Services-Java-Offshore

5) Testing Services-Generic Services-ASP-Onsite

6) Testing Services-Generic Services-ASP-Offshore

7) Testing Services-Generic Services-Java-Onsite

8) Testing Services-Generic Services-Java-Offshore

in above materials how can i give material code. if we define the names like this there will b number of material names in the system , but the client doesnt want this, what what should i do in this?

And one more thing the client wants to see the revenues on the following creteria

1) All Application Services vise

2) All Testing Services vise

3) All Generic Services wise

3) All ASP Technology vise

4) All Java Tecg Wise

5) All Onsite wise

6) All Offshore wise

SO Gurus, Kindly help in this situation

    Hi,

    How is the revenue G/L code look like?

    Maybe you need to consider to use Configurable material.

    so you can differentiate the service type, category, technology and location.
