upgradation to BSI 8.0 and Testing related to Tax update Bulletins

Hey guys

As This is year end ,payroll teams have sleepless nights ! I have some questions related to BSI upgrade to 8.0 from 7.0 and also Tax update Bulletins

A) we are on Taxfactory 7.0 now and we havent upgraded to 8.0 till now ,Heard that SAP is not going to support 7.0 from December 1st ,eventhough BSI supports it till 31st December, Any idea on this .I am waiting for my market place access as i joined this project today .

B)we have some gap related to Tax update Bulletins,since two months no TUBS were applied .what will be the impact if we upgrade to BSI Taxfactory 8.0 immediately from 7.0 and test only TUBS related to 8.0 since two months till December end ? I think when we update to version 8 all the latest TUBS will be included in the download as of the download date and version 7.0 database will be cleaned up correct ?

Any information ASAP will be appreciated

As you have mentioned you need to upgrade BSI before 12/31/2007. Before upgrading from BSI 70 to 8.0 you need to apply TUBS untill 0218 in BSI 7.0 becos TUB 218 is similar to the TUB 0059 coming with BSI 8.0.

Recently I have applied all the TUBS from 0212 to 0218 in BSI 7.0 and after applying TUBS now we are upgrading to BSI 8.0 as BSI 8.0 is coming with TUB 0059 which is same as TUB 218 in BSI 7.0 and which takes care of the coming TUBS.

Its not clear for me ,can you elaborate it ?

A) I was of the opinion that SAP Basis consultant applies TUBS, and as a functional consultant i need to Test them by running simulations in Test Box.How do i know which TUB in 7.0 is equivalent to a TUB in 8.0 ? should i contact BSI for this or is it mentioned in the website of marketplace ?

B) I thought if we upgrade to 8.0 it will erase all the Data related to 7.0,May be i misunderstood it .

Hi,

Yes this is purely an Basis activity, they have to take care everything by using the note 1022565.

80 won't delete the 70, if that is the case how can BSi say that 80 will support the 2007 payroll also.

You can contact BSI they will clear your all doubts.
