Problem with Material master

hi..

I am tryin to create the material master. when i enter the plant in the organizational level window, the plant i created before and assigned to the company code, its poppin an error saying " the company code does not exist or its not fully maintained". when i ckecked 'Help', it says " maintain company codes for material managment". what does this mean..?. i am relatively new here so kindly help.

Hi..

Check setting in Enterprise structure for co code & plant.

Also check whether you have done settings in OMSY for your co code..

in OB29 check fiscal year variant

OB37 assign fiscal year variant to company code

OB62 assign chart of accounts to company code

OMSY maintain compnay code on materials management view

OMS2 check for u r plant for quantity and value updating

Hi Gopi,

It would be worthwhile checking the company code settings(have you created a new one or copied it from the standard)?

Also check once again whether you have assigned the plant to the company code.If they are correctly done try creating a new material using the same plant if it is assigned to a different company code.Also do check the settings in OMJ7 as well.

hi,

am not really sure, but do check once if the company code was copied properly and see that the assignments of plant and company are made correctly in enterprise structure.

please revert back incase if this was the reason.

i checked and the assignment is alright. how does one configure the company code for the materials managment.??

That means the company code is not assigned to the company.

.

goto SPRO -> enterprise structure -> assignments->assigncompany code to company.

here i u need to assign. if u have already assigned then u must be able to see the assignment here.

try checking here ..

let me know if u still have issue after the assignment.
