Kernel Upgrade for old SAP Ides system

HI,

How I need to install 4.6c Kernel 4.6d patch level 948 on the following system

SAP Ides - R/3 4.C

SAP Package level 534

Support Package Manager version 4.6c/0028

Oracle 8.1.7.0.0

ABAB Load 1258

Kernel 46D

Could someone please tell me what I need to download and the steps

Hi Tin,

FYI, per SAP marketplace support site information:

"Mainstream maintenance for SAP R/3 4.6C ended on December 31, 2006.

From January 01, 2007 to December 31, 2009, SAP offers extended maintenance for this release."

To download the support packages for your R/3 4.6C release:

1- Got the area <a href="http://service.sap.com/patches">SAP marketplace Patches download area</a>

2- In the left side navigation, select '<i>Archive for Support Packages and Patches</i>', then '<i>Entry by Application Group</i>'

3- In the component list, select '<i>SAP Application Components --> SAP R/3 -> SAP R/3 4.6C'</i>

4- You should then see the list of patch components for 4.6C and add them to your download basket

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for your help. So far so good, but when I go to install patch SAPKB46C28 i get the error "Pleae check_requirements" Open data Extraction requests" I've seen note 328181 which makes no sense.

How do I process all open extraction requests in Customizing Cockpit as advised?

Hi Tin,

It does not seem that note #328181 applies to your environment (i.e. 4.6C release)...

You might also want to check the following notes if they apply to your issue:

- note #<b>310956</b> / Import prerequisites for Support Packages in Basis Rel. 4.6C

- note #<b>173814</b> / OCS: Known problems with Support Packages for Release 4.6

If you can not find a solution and still have extended support from SAP, you might want to submit a support request.

I wish I could be more specific why your support pack import fails, but I think this information will help you investigate this issue.

Hi Joseph,

Thanks for your help, still can't get past this issue

I've cleared delta queues and logical unit of works, but still it returns the open Data Extraction requests error. Afraid we won't have SAP support anymore.

Have you any other ideas? Thanks again for your time

Sorry I can't help you more at this point, but if there is no meaningful information on the SAP marketplace via notes, and you can not report an issue to SAP (no support), then unfortunately you are on your own to figure out the root cause of your issues.

If you have additional details you can share, then maybe we can find out more about this.

Thanks for your help - sorry for the delay been working on other stuff.

All queues are empty and in all clients. As a test i tried to install another OCS package - this time SAPKA46c23, this time i said skip when the error message about Open data Extraction requests came up, this was then eventually followed by the error message

Internal Error: OCS_GET_ADDON_Objects:P1 Empty Task

Any ideas anyone? Thanks again for all your help
