What is the latest update vis a vis Engage 2008

I understand that SAP has created LUMIRA Dashboards and LUMIRA Discovery which are supposedly the last word on dashboard design. As before, SAP has endeavored (and succeeded) in creating confusions regarding the names...

I have Engage 2008 and would like to upgrade to the latest app to design dashboards. can someone help me decide which is the SAP version I should upgrade to? What is the difference between Lumira Dashboard and Lumira Discovery? Is there one more advanced?

Tammy, you are very nice in replying to my queries. I tried to watch the lecture but there is too much beating around the bushes and frankly, confusion as to what I need, starting with the fact that they talk about a LUMIRA 2.0......is that Discovery, Designer or a different one?

Anyway. I am looking to get the most powerful Xcelsius-like app. to upgrade to. I must admit, however, that I do not know java (I only drink it as coffee 🙂 or anything that requires coding or computer languages. Is Lumira 2.0, Lumira Discovery or Lumira designer the most powerful?

Also, had you ever succeeded in manipulating an Excelsius Engage dashboard exported to WORD? If affirmative, how?

Hello Eduardo - generally Lumira Discovery is for self service business analyst while Designer is for professionally authored IT dashboards. You can watch an online SAP TechEd 2017 Las Vegas lecture here: http://events.sap.com/teched/en/session/33575

Designer is more advanced; knowledge of JavaScript is helpful.
