Hi Gurus,

As a SD guy i would like to learn MM also. One thing is that i think i don't need to know the whole stuff in MM. Could anyone guides me in this way?

Hi Yves,

As you know in SD you have the fstandard flow like

Inquiry >Quotation>Sales order>delivery>Billing

similary in MM also try to get a grip of the MM flow then you can can select which topics are relevant to you and choose them.

Purchase requisition>Purchase Order->Goods Receipt--->Invoice verification

Apart from movement types,Also it is important to go through Vendor master(similar to customer master in SD),Purchase order(similar to sales order),GR(similar to GI),Invoice verification(similar to billing process)

Hi Yves,

Along with the above mentioned area, u need to concentrate more in the below topics too...

1) Material master --- u need to know material types also ( configuration part of

material typs)

2) Stock Transport Order --- this is very very important in case of MM. becoz most

most of the time, u will be doing stk transport with in

plants (same company code) as well as inter

company codes....

3) Third party Processing and Third party returns.....(which includes SD and MM

flow)

4) Contract and Sub Contract.

5) Unlike SD, u need to work on user exit and field selection of any screen like vendor master (u can hide and u can say that, the specific field is the mandatory or optional)....
