Sybase ODBC driver doesn't install

Hi,

I'm trying to install SAP IQ 16.0 SP011.01 Network Client for Windows x64 on Windows 7. The install seems successful but when I go to ODBC Administrator 64-bit and try to add a connection, the driver does not appear in the list. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times and have also uninstalled and reinstalled the ODBC driver alone. Can anyone help?

Try installing using 'Run as Administrator' (hold the shift key, right click on 'setup.exe' and select 'Run as Administrator').

Depending on your security, even if your login is defined as local Administrator, you must do this to install some software. I have also found, that in order to make changes to 'System' DNS settings, you mus also run the 'odbcad32' administration as 'Administrator' as well, otherwise your changes will not be saved.
