Dear Gurus,
I am facing a problem while creating loans. In our client there is a provision for "Bank Loan" in which the employee takes a loan from bank. The employee gets the loan amount externally (not through payroll) but installments get deducted through payroll. Now whenever I am trying to create this scenario through Infotype 45 with a payment type "Loan Payment (payroll)" the loan amount get included into the basic salary. Now my problem is how to create a loan where "Loan Amount" should not be included into payroll but "Repayment" must be deducted from the payroll.
It is still unanswered

Hi Pratik,
Another way to approach this could be by maintaing IT0057 (Membership Fees), with appropriate subtype (Custom) for such employees.
If this is used, you won't have any problem of creating loan amount.
Hope it helps.

Hi,
On the payments tab of IT0045, there are other payment methods available. Try using the "Third-Party payment" instead of "Loan Payment (payroll)"from the drop down and see if it works.
Hope this helps.

Dear Tomesh,
I have tested with "Loan payment External" but getting an error in the payroll log - "A loan wage type in table RT should be deducted, however the remaining net amount was too small" .
Loan details are as follows-
1)Loan amount granted is Rs 50000; Repayment instl is Rs. 1640
2) Loan amount granted is Rs 75000; Repayment instl is Rs. 3200
Kindly suggest what should be my next step.
