Hi Team,

Please help me in this issue.

we have saved one document in OAER tcode as shown below.

My client is extracting this pdf using BAPI BAPI_ZGET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL and displaying it on web application.

But bapi is unable to extract data when sicf service /sap/bc/contentserver is active.

if we deactivate the service and execute the BAPI we are able to get data at tables parameter FICHIER_BIN of the BAPI.

Please suggest.

Thanks,
darshan

You should debug your custom BAPI. We don't know your BAPI.

hi Sandra,

I have further debugged the source code and found that FM HTTP_GET_HANDLER_LIST is used.

this FM checks whether service is activate or not.

it gives sy-subrc <> 0 if service is deacativate.

Thanks,

darshan

Can you compare the source code of your BAPI_ZGET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL with a standard BAPI like BAPI_GET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL or BAPI_GET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL2, difference and their purpose?

Hi raymond,

Thank you for your reply.

I have checked the code of bapi's BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETDETAIL2 and BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETDETAIL but it is different from the which is in bapi BAPI_ZGET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL.

please suggest

thanks in advance

Sorry but seems that what has caused the creation of the Z BAPI can have triggered the problem, without access to your customer object we can be of much help, unable to find what is interfering with the service in a code we cannot read.

"Hold on a sec, just let me get my Crystal Ball!"

So analyze this code or try to explain us what it does (technically with enough detail level)

hi raymond,

according to my knowledge it is an issue of BDS.

just give me some hint where we can do the setting for bds document and sicf service.

i will tell u whole scenario.

before using bapi BAPI_ZGET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL i am using bapi BAPI_ZGET_DOCUMENTLIST.

for this bapi i am providing

CLASSNAME

CLASSTYPE

OBJKEY

these inputs are same as OAER tcode.

After this BAPi gives me below output.

out of which i am only using DOC_ID and providing to BAPI BAPI_ZGET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL.

then i am facing the issue which i have posted.

though it is custom bapi all code is standard.

I have further debugged the source code and found that FM HTTP_GET_HANDLER_LIST is used.

this FM checks whether service is activate or not.

it gives sy-subrc <> 0 if service is deacativate.

Please suggest.

Do you have same problem when using BAPI_DOCUMENT_GETLIST and BAPI_GET_DOCUMENT_DETAIL?

If not, look again to differences between your customer code and standard one, some cases not handled correctly when the SAP HTTP content server interface is active.

Did you search in your SAP ArchiveLink customizing?

(Table TOADV, SM30 on view TOAVE, OAC2 or SPRO Customizing look for 'Edit Document Types' in 'SAP ArchiveLink')

NB: With a document title like 'POAE - ETAT ESPRIT QUALITE.pdf' (quality oriented service) there should be some internal documentation on your site?
