Make to Order

Hi,

Can any please let me the procedure to be followed for Make to Order Scenario.

My Requirement is this :

1. Create Sales Order based on customer requirement

2. Maintain Multi level BOM for this

3. MRP Run must generate purchase requisitions for ROH & VERP, Planned Order for Finished & Semi Finished Product.

Presently I have created a Sale Order with Finished Goods having strategy group 20. Multi level BOM is attached to this FG. When I do MRP run through T-code MD50 system is not generating purchase requisitions for components of this FG. Instead it is generating Planned Order for FG & Not exploding HALB attached to this FG.

Now planned orders is being generated for MTO sale order. Now the problem is when I do MD01 system is taking all Sales Orders having MTO strategy also & generating Planned Orders & requirements.

Please tell me why this is happening?

Hi,

MD50 - Single item multilevel planning run. It is not a single item single level.That you can check in the initial screen itself. BOM will explode upto bottom level. No need to go for MD02.

And MD01 is total planning run. As you said all the materials will plan.So don't run MD01.

Check your BOM validity date means that check order creation date & BOM creation date.

Hi Hitesh,

MD50 for sigle-item planning, it will plan one level only.

As per the planning startegy 20, if run MRP for header material in MD02, Planned order will be created for both Header material and semifinished material (if it is inhouse prod type) with reference to sales order.

Dependent requirements will be created for raw material .

letus confirm what proposl u want to be created for F/G and S/F material.

Hi

MD50- is for single item sales order.

you have to run MRP with MD02.

Then BOM will get exploded & planned orders will get created for all items.

you to procure all items. when procured all stocke will go to sales order stocks.

The planned orders generated will have alink with sales order.
