Dear All,
I want to attach few documents in outbound delivery document (table LIPS) using DMS functionality, can anyone explain me how do we do it.
Please explain what standard DMS document type we need to use, Screen object and screen number.
Regards,
Sudheer
Hi Sudheer,
to link documents to objects you need to maintain this object in the customizing. In transaction DC10 you can add objects to specific document types.
To grant that allways the currenct screens and authorizations were
called please maintain also the value "1" into the "Authorization"
column. For further informations on this maintainance please see the
attached note 375452. It's important that you not enter the mentioned
screen number wihtout the leading "1" as this number is added
automatically by the system (e.g. object MARA 1201 maintain like MARA
201). You can do this in customizing under:
Transaction SPRO
> Cross-Application-Component
> Document Management
> Control Data
> Define screen for object links
If you need the dynpro number or object you will find all standard SAP
objects and their screen number in function module CV130 (Screens) by
transaction SE80. Please maintain all necessary SAP objects.
As the object LIPS is not listed here this means that it is not a
SAP standard object.
So you would have to create an individual object called LIPS and also a usable dynpro for it. Please note that, if you create user specific screens for an object you
have to design these screens once for the document management side (DMS)
and also for the object side too. I hope this information will help you.
Best regards,
Christoph
