Hi,
I hv created a CRM system and when I check its connection, it fails for top three i.e. WAS, ITS & Connector.
Sill I am able to view the iView in WinGui using the same System. I have also done the User Mapping and whenever I click on preview for the iView, it goes in to the system successfully.
Now I want that iView in WebGui form. So I need the connection test to be successful. So what could be the reason behind the failure?
Pls reply.
For wingui, the was and its parameters dont matter. Thats why you were able to proceed.
Now paste the exact message about the failure here.
And now for WEBGUI you need to enable ITS on the CRM server through SICF transaction.
Regarding WAS, enter the correct host and port in the system properties. Get these details from the SICM transcation on CRM.
Hope the answer helped you. If so consider rewarding with points.

Hi,
When I enter the ITS hostname as a URL in internet explorer, the SAP J2EE Engine Start Page gets open. From this can you tell me how to find ITS & WAS path. Because our ITS is not at default location i.e. /sap/bc/gui/sap/its. And I dont know where it is. So how to find the path for ITS & WAS?
From SMICM, Goto- services....I have given the ITS Host name with port number.
But where is WAS Host name & port number?
pls help.
pls help.
hi,
Now i m getting little confused.
1. Our basis guy has given me a link for ITS:- <i>http://crmdev:81/scripts/wgate/webgui/webgui/!</i>
if I click on this it opens the ITS System Information.
2. If i go to SICF, I dont find infornation for ITS and WAS.
3. If I go to SMICM, Goto---services, I find <i>8001</i> as Port and <i>crmdev.corp.mahindra.com</i> as a Host name
So from above, wht should be my ITS & WAS?
pls help...the connection still fails for ITS & WAS.
Thanks
The SMICM info you got is for WAS.
crmdev.corp.mahindra.com:8001 should be the value for WAS Host name
WAS Protocol=http
The SICF stuff is to get the "path" of ITS.
The Value for ITS Host name and protocol is same as your WAS.
Ok, now are you using SAP GUI for HTML iViews. If not, You can forget about setting ITS parameters. Just leave them blank. They are not required.
If this helps, kindly reward points.
