Hi All
We have cloned the following repository DB schemas from production environment to staging environment.
PDC31124585SLAVE_M000
PDC31124585SLAVE_Z000
We have made the appropriate entries to the following table
a2i_xcat_dbs.a2i_catalogs
But when we try to mount the repository through MDM console or CLIX
we receive the following error
"Cannot connect to MDM repository or DBMS"
[mds@amusboclqa2i01 mds]$ export
MDM_HOME=/opt/app/MDM;/opt/app/MDM/bin/clix repMount 3.137.168.69
PROD_PUBLIC_M1:qamdm:oracle:xcs:xcs 2030
Loading '/opt/app/MDM/LangStrings/CatMgrCommonCore.lang' (eng_US)...
Loaded 1078 strings
from '/opt/app/MDM/LangStrings/CatMgrCommonCore.lang'
Error: 0xffab4118, Cannot connect to MDM repository or DBMS.
from '/opt/app/MDM/LangStrings/CatMgrCommonCore.lang'

please advise

Hi Prakash,
Is there any specific reason that you are doing cloning..?

Hi Prakash,
Just a workaround...
1) If the cloning process you are trying is throwing an error, you could poosibly try out archiving and repository and then try to unarchive the same on the server you want.
While Unarchiving the rep, you will have an option of taking the data as well as the repository structure. You can also take the repository structure and leave the data.
2) Also you could possibly export your current repository schema and then import the schema into the repository you want. However this will only take the repository structure.
Thanks and Regards

Hi Hari
We have other repositories in the same server, which we could mount/load successfully.
We are not able to mount the repository, which we have just cloned through DB schema. Is there any step that we missed while we performed cloning ?
Please help. Thanks
Prakash

Hi prakash
While mounting the repository just check ur Dabase status is running r not or check the services of database . While mounting ensure proper DBMS is mounted.
This problem comes when if any version conflicts is there and if the server is not loaded properly .
