SEM-BCS - "Organizational Change" Function
Experts,
We have this requirement of moving a few units around in the hierarchy. (from one group to another with a change of parent unit)
As "Complete Transfer" can be used for transfer of ownership between upper units with in the same group, what is best way to record a transfer of unit from one group to another?
There is a functionality called "Organization Change" in BCS to record the transfer of units from one group to another
We did the necessary config (refer to the attachment for details of the Config,Master data and Additional Fin. Data) and when try to do a transfer in our test system SBW, we are getting the following error message even though we have created a organizational change #.
Sender group for organizational change no. cannot be assigned
Message no. UCF6705
Diagnosis
A sender consolidation group could not be assigned to receiver consolidation group P10/C1610 for organizational change number with activity number 0000000860 of investee unit 001616/0000001616.
Procedure
Manually define the sender consolidation group for receiver consolidation group P10/C1610 with organizational change number .
Your qucik response is highly appriciated
Thanks
Ramesh
Hi,
try to create an organizational change number in UCWB=> Master data =>cons unit => organizational change.
Then when you do the transfer , mention the organizational change number .
Hope this helps.

It has been my experience that in some cases the organization change numbers may require several senders and receivers from the top-most cons group in the chain of events to the lowest. Such as A send to B then B sends to C, etc.

Dan,
What C/I activity are we supposed to use if we want transfer a unit vertically up in the hierarchy?
And also, we are still getting an error with Organization Change scenario when we run our COI. Can we please send you a detailed document of the issue we are facing to your email id?
Thanks
Ramesh
