HI,Release Prerequisites.

Hi,

I need to set up a release stragegy, the no of codes are

01 - Buyer 1

02 - Buyer 2

03 - Manager 1

04 - GM 1

05 - GM 2

06 - GM 3

My requirement is the following combination should be possible for releasing a document .

01 / 03 / 04

01 / 03 / 05

01 / 03 / 06

02 / 03 / 04

02 / 03 / 05

02 / 03 / 06

Could anyone help me in sending the release prerequisite setting how to process the above functionality.

    The post by Batchu explains it absolutely. Would yu let us know if you have issues after referring the link.. Moreover the charcateristics/ Release criteria you'd be working with will also be a question

      Hi,

      I got your point,what i understood is, the same classification you want to have different strategies.it isnot possible to have two strategies with same classification.

      The only possibility is you must have to make the difference in those charecteristics.

      if you can explain what are the charecteristics you are using then we ssall suggest some thing

      one more suggestion why can't you make those two codes(01,02) to one,if there are any document type issues(both have different document types only to work)then you can make the charecteristics in classification differenetly then you purpose will solve.

      I think you understand with this.

      please update with furher posts to make this issue close.

    To start with, It depends on whether you are working with or w/o classification.

    Anyways,

    1. Assign the 6 release codes as mentioned c1, c2 ,c3 ,c4 ,c5, c6

    2. under Release indicator assignment, do the following

    S1 X- code 1( buyer 01) - blocked

    S1 X- code 1, Rel indicator as desired

    S1 X- code 1, Code 3- X- Manager, Rel indicator as desired

    S1 X- code 1, Code 3- X- Manager, Code 4- X-GM1,Rel indicator as desired

    S1 X- code 1, Code 3- X- Manager, Code 5- X-GM2,Rel indicator as desired

    S1 X- code 1, Code 3- X- Manager, Code 6- X-GM3,Rel indicator as desired

    S2 X- code 2( buyer 02) - blocked

    S2 X- code 2, Rel indicator as desired

    S2 X- code 2, Code 3- X- Manager, Rel indicator as desired

    S2 X- code 2, Code 3- X- Manager, Code 4- X- GM1,Rel indicator as desired

    S2 X- code 2, Code 3- X- Manager, Code 5- X- GM2,Rel indicator as desired

    S2 X- code 2, Code 3- X- Manager, Code 6- X- GM3,Rel indicator as desired

    3. Under Release indicator Prereqs

    S1 01 Buyer 01-Code 1- X

    S1 03 Manager-Code 1- + , Code 3-X

    S1 04 GM1- Code 1- + , Code 3-+, Code 4 -X

    S1 05 GM2- Code 1- + , Code 3-+, Code 5 -X

    S1 06 GM3- Code 1- + , Code 3-+, Code 6 -X

    S2 02 Buyer 02-Code 2- X

    S2 03 Manager-Code 2- + , Code 3-X

    S2 04 GM1- Code 2- + , Code 3-+, Code 4 -X

    S2 05 GM2- Code 2- + , Code 3-+, Code 5 -X

    S2 06 GM3- Code 2- + , Code 3-+, Code 6 -X

    Simulate and see if it fits..

    I still believe your strategy is going to work..

    What I understand is

    Buyer 1 manager 1 , GM 1 ,

    Buyer 1 manager 1 , GM 2 and Buyer 1 manager 1 , GM 3 ,

    Similarly,

    Buyer 2 manager 1 , GM 1 ,

    Buyer 2 manager 1 , GM 2 and Buyer 2 manager 1 , GM 3 ,

    WHere i see an issue is the classification chracteristic. Is it going to be the same or could be different for both buyers.

    If it is just one, it is not going to work, else it should unless what I understood above is incorrect.
