Gross weight and Net weight in Invoice

Hi All,

I am facing the following problem as

My client has made sales order say with 20 items. With GW as 15 kg and 14kg as net weight.

Of this say , 10 items are delivered and change the material master for GW and NW as GW - 18 kg and 17 kg . Now the system should pick the new weights in remaining deliver quantity.

Kindly guide me on this at the earlist

Thanks in advance

Shailesh

    Dear Shailesh

If you change the gross weight and net weight in material master, that change will not have any impact on existing sale order line items. Alternatively, if you create a new line item in the same order, the revised weights will fetch from material master. The other option is you can change it manually in the existing line items.

    Thanks

    hi,

You can change the GW & NW at item level of sales order and freight will again will be calculated and then go ahead with delivery.

    Hi Shailesh,

Masters is picked up from the first transaction that took place. So as the NW and GW is picked up in SO so it will copy the same in Delivery as well. Now changing the masters will not help. See if you can do another transaction of 10 and reduce the earlier SO quantity.

Secondly, you can always change it during transaction.

    Reward points, if helpful.

    Hi Gurus,

Can we change the Weights in the Material Master, as and when required. I'm clear that we cannot change the Base unit of measure unless certain conditions are satisfied., like, there should not be any POs, there should not be any stock in the plant etc., Please clarify..

    Thanks in advance...
