Migrate Authorization BI 7.0 from R3

Hi experts,

I need to migrate my authorization structure from R3 to my BI system. I need the same roles in BI and in R3.

Somebody knows how I can migrate it?

    I am not Sure. But little bit idea i can give.

    Note all the authorization parameters in the R/3 system, Recreate all in the BI System.

      Thanks Saravanan but the problem I have is that there are more than 500 diferent authorizations in R/3 thay I must recreate.

      Do you know if there is something standard useful not to recreate the 500 authorizations one by one?

    I'm not at all an expert in this. But the authorisation in BW is quite different from R/3.

    I would think that migrating is not a very good Idea.

    Maybe the authorisation through a hieararchy - node on Profit Center for instance will give the organisation what they really want.

    Hopefulle some authorisation expert can give you a more accurate answer.

    Hi,

    Authorization in Bi is different from R/3, It is not required to migrate all the R/3 authorization to BI.

    The authorization in R/3 are mostly for carrying out transactions, , but in BI it would be for viewing the queries(end users). Different authorizations are required for developers.

    For end user you will have to create authorisations in such a way that they are able to access only the relevant queries and with proper restriction on data ( like, company code, profit center, sales office, cost center etc.)
