transportation planning status

Hi SAP GURUS

I created delivery in vl01n , when i clicked on transportation tab to give info in transportation planning status field, it is not allowing me. My question is why is it happening and where we have to give trans plaann status info is it in delivery or some where else plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz let me know

Is there any Route maintained in your delivery ? If so, is the "Transport relevant indicator" checked for your Route ?

If the indicator is checked then the route can be used for creating Shipments. If it is not checked, these deliveries cannot be planned in shipments.

Once the delivery is assigned to a shipment then based on the leg indicator in the shipment, the "transp. planning stats" is set by the system.
