access to WebIDE for tenant DB user

Hi,

for my HANA 2.0 SP02 instance, if the WebIDE is installed against the SYSTEMDB and I have a user account created under a tenant DB, how can I give that user access to the WebIDE? When attempting to add the user in XSA Administration, the existing user is not shown available to be created.

I would hope that I wouldn't have to create another user account for this to be possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

-Jayson

XSA user store setup only allows migrating users from a single target tentant (in your case the SYSTEMDB).

Thomas,

could you give a hint on how the process of the XSA user store setup can be pointed to a tenant DB instead of systemDB in multicontainer systems?

Thanks

Yannick

There is no such functionality to move the XSA User Store.

Is there a way then to make catalog and content objects that reside in a tenant DB and not in systemDB accessible by xsa applications?

Sure, but that has nothing to do with where the XSA User Store lives. Any XSA space can be mapped to any of the HANA DB tenants.

Hi Thomas,

I'm not sure whether I have understood your answers (see above) correctly.

Is it possible to set up a Web IDE XSA so that it points to a HANA tenant DB and not the systemDB?

If so, how?

In the project settings of a project in the SAP Web IDE you have to chose a target space. It is this XSA space which in turn is mapped to a HANA DB Tenant. So by choosing this space you are also choosing the target HANA MDC Tenant.

Thanks Thomas. I was afraid, I would have to create all the users manually, once in the db, once in XSA.
