CRM (Market Planning) and Integrated Planning--How To?

Hi,

AT my client we want to bring in Market Planning Data in BW especially Campaign Planning. According to CRM consultant..he wants us to do the integrated planning in BW but in all SAP material on SDN I have not seen single post where we are planning on CRM Cubes ...

Does any one has experience in this area where we can plan on CRM Cubes (Campaign Analysis).

Or We do the planning in CRM and just bring in the Actuals in BW.

    Hi John ,

    The planning is always done on IP module , part of BW . The project shoudl create an interface to accept the planned figures based out on a file ( text or XML) and load on to the Aggregation level of IP. For this you need to model a BW real time cube to capture the data from the file .

    Then the actuals should flow in to merge with the plan and a Multi provider can get you Plan Vs Actual scenario .

      Thanks for your reply.

      The problem has been solved but the solution goes like this. In CRM, SAP has given capability to use planning but using SEM-BPS rather than IP (don't know why..but it is there).

      So users are going to plan in CRM and their data will be brought into BW in cube 0CRM_C01 where we have uploads based on planning profiles.

      It is quiet complex to send back the data to CRM (Market Planning) because we have to upload the file or use APD but the basic problems was where to upload as the tables have to be identified .

      Moreover CRM is transaction oriented as it creates documents so uploading into CRM (Market Planning) doesn't seem to be easy and verstaile approach.
