Deploy Fiori extension to sap backend manually

Hi experts,

is it possible to upload a Fiori extension manually via report /UI5/UI5_REPOSITORY_LOAD?

I tried that but when I open the BSP application I do not see all the files which were available in the web IDE. For me it seems that the files had not been uploaded correctly.

Am I doing something wrong or is such an approach to upload the extension into the system not possible?

Thank you a lot.

regards,

Dietrich

  • Have you tried deploying your app directly from Web IDE to the ABAP repository on your backend system?

  • Well I did but the problem is that the backend system is not recognized in the web IDE personal edition. This is why I had to use that report to upload it manually.

    I also do not know why the web ide does not see the system. I have followed the instructions and created the file in the destinations folder with the following properties in it:

    Description=<desc>

    Type=HTTP

    TrustAll=true

    Authentication=NoAuthentication

    Name=<Name>

    ProxyType=Internet

    URL=<URL from system from the SAP GUI>

    WebIDEUsage=odata_abap,odata_gen,ui5_execute_abap,deb_abap

    WebIDESystem=<system>

    WebIDEEnabled=true

    sap-client=001

    regards,

    Should the ProxyType value not be OnPremise instead of Internet?

    • Oh boy, thank you a lot. That was really the mistake!

      After I have changed the parameter the system is getting displayed in my Web IDE Personal Edition.

      Thank you a lot for your help and time! I appreciate that!

      kind regards,

      Dietrich
