Authorization error: You do not have analysis authorization for any char.

Hello,

I have one use which will have access to RSH1 (Edit Hierarchies). The following error msg appear when it is necessary to add a node in the hierarchy:

You do not have analysis authorization for any char. values of char. 0COSTCENTER

Could you please tell where can fix this? PFCG?

From the error message, it appears that you are using the new security concept (Analysis Authorizations) in BI 7.0 and your Cost Center InfoObject has been set to be Authorization Relevant. To edit a hierarchy on Cost Center, the user needs access to all the values of Cost Center. You either need to modify an existing authorization that the user has (or create a new authorization and assign to the user) that specifies which values of Cost Center the user is authorized to see. Typically for maintaining a hierarchy, the user may need access to all the values of Cost Center; so the authorization will look as follows:

0costcenter, EQ, *

You can use the transaction RSECADMIN to maintain authorization. Please read help on this topic in the SAP library (link below), as there is a lot to be understood in this area to make the right decisions on security.

Check authorizations to S_RS_HIER authorization object.

another way to find out the missing authorization object is to execute SU53 transaction after receiving authorization error.
