"lowercase” option is enabled for then infoobject

Hello All,

We know BW does not allow certain invalid characters and the data load fails.

But when the “lowercase” option is enabled for then infoobject, BW allows invalid characters to be loaded.

Why is this? Why the check for the allowed characters ignored when the lowercase option is chosen

When you enable lowercase letters, BW allows lowercase letters for particular Infoobject but it won't allow invalid characters.

When the lowercase option is set, BW WILL NOT accept invalid characters.

Hi Gopinath,

Have you check the RSKC settings in BW? as you aware in certain instances we need to accept lower case letters, for ex; when loading through a flat file some of the characters might be in lower case. In order to avoid invalid character issues, this option has to be selected, Also go through the document Special Characters.
