Hide hierarchy first level

Hi all,

Our BW version 3.5.

I have such a hierarchy in the bex report:

01.ROOT

02.TOT2145

02.TOT064

02.TOT2130

02.TOT2129

01.Not assigned

How i can hide the first level of hierarchy, i.e. "ROOT" and "Not assigned" nodes?

How i can start navigation from the second hierarchy level?

Thanks for the help,

DR

Dmitry,

To remove unassigned nodes you can restrict the IO with # and exclude it from selection from the context menu. But the first level is a shown as a single line in the output or how?

Excluding # from selection doesn't help me. When i change hierarchy in a local view, filter become irrelevant. And i see again "Not assigned" level.

First level is shown as a single line.

Exclusion can't be done in local view. You should do that in global view. Again if level one is shown as a single line and if you dont want that you can think of excluding that ina workbook.

I exclude value in a global view. In a local view i change hierarchies.

I don't know all the variants of navigation in the bex report, thats why excluding in a workbook not our solution.

Dmitry, Did u get a way to do this ? I do have a similar problem and one of the guys here told me that we can do it via workbooks (VB Code) or by maintaining a separate hierarchy without Node 1. It would be great to know how you went on with it...
