Additional accounts for Asset Accounting

Hello everybody,

I’ve a question regarding SAP New Asset Accounting under S/4 HANA. I already know that the migration strategy for asset migration has changed due to the new tables and structures in the new G/L. However, I created an old asset with TA AS91. After that I wanted to specify takeover values in TA AS92. I get the following error message below:

The error message from SAP points to TA OBYD. Can anyone explain me why I need an account for “Additional accounts for Asset Accounting” here? What is it for?

However, SAP uses this account as some kind of contra posting for the values:

First I thought that I need to specify an offsetting account for legacy data transfer. However, the correct TA for specifying the offsetting account for legacy data transfer is Asset Accounting (new) => Asset Data Transfer => Parameters for Data Transfer => Define Offsetting Account for Legacy Data Transfer.

Thanks for your help

Hey,

thanks for the repsonse.

In the OSS Notes there was no hint regarding transaction OBYD and transaction ANC. However, I figured it out myself. When defining an asset migration account in "Define Offsetting Account for Legacy Data Transfer" the account will be automatically transfered into "Additional accounts for Asset Accounting". Thus, no extra account needed here as it is the migration account.
