How to disallow decimals in unit of measurement.
Unit of measurement "EA" should not allow any decimal entries. For example there can't be 1.336 EA of a Machine.
What will happen to the stock which is already in decimals ????
Pls revert..

Hello YMREDDY
We have material code with unit of measurement as "EA".
Lets say I have purchased 1000 Cartons (boxes) and I have created a material code "XX-001" with UOM as "EA". I create PO and post GR for 1000 EA of "XX-001"
Now here I want to restrict users from posting GRs for 12.36 EA since boxes cant be in decimals. I will always have a box in totality.
In our system I can see stock of 34.89 Boxes.
Hope i am able to communicate my problem.
found in OSS note 23771:
.......inventory management is always carried out in base unit of measure and quantities are managed with exactly 3 places behind the decimal point........
For PP-operations there is a check for decimals which issues error CP466 if number of allowed decimals is exceeded. (see OSS note 351304)
it s not posible to restrict to 0 decimal in standred sap system
hope this helps
Reward if u want better ans
