valuation class in Service PO

Hi..

Can anyone tell me why we need to maintain valuation class in service master record,

at the time of creation of service PO we are assigning the G/L account thus at the time of service entry system automatically debit the G/L provided in PO, than why is this valuation class required in service master

    Hi,

    Your question is very valid

In case of service master valuation class is used for assignment of services to the group of G/L accounts this makes it possible to post the values of serices of the same serice category to different accounts

When you enter ervice entry for service master having valuation class it will not

account to cost center in PO it will hit G/L according to valuation class however

since for account assignment is mandatory for service system will ask you for

    cost center while creating po

    Hope its clear to you
