BI Portal - New roles created not active

I have SUCCESSFULLY created some iviews, pages, workset and assigned these to a new Role in BI Portal but these roles are not active when a user who has been assigned to these role logs on.

Assigning the user to a standard portal role works fine. I have previously created customerized roles in other Netweaver portal that works perfectly.

What could be the issue ?
